A family owned business, Hill & Company has maintained offices in Pacific Heights for over 50 years. Owner and founder Joseph V. Costello, Jr. is a native San Franciscan who received his J.D. degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law. He earned his license as a real estate broker and founded Hill & Co. in 1956. His son, Jay Costello is the president.

Hill & Company has five offices; two on Union Street in Pacific Heights, one on Lombard Street in the Marina, one in Noe Valley on 24th Street, and one in Marin County.
