Jay Costello
President

Jay Costello has been active with Hill & Co. since 1980 where he began his career as a Residential Leasing Agent and then Sales Agent. From there he continued his responsibilities as Sales Manager, General Manager and now, President of the Company. Jay is a native San Franciscan. He graduated from Pomona College in Claremont, California where he was a government major and a 3-year captain of the Lacrosse Team. He has continued his interest in lacrosse and volunteers his time for a number of Bay Area lacrosse programs.
Eileen Mougeot
Vice President

Eileen Mougeot joined Hill & Co. in 1981. She is a Broker Associate and a Top Producer. She was welcomed to the management team in 2002, when she assumed the position of Sales Manager. She is excited and enthusiastic about her position as Vice President of Hill & Co. Originally from Northwest Connecticut, Eileen attended Simmons College in Boston and the Sorbonne University in Paris. She lived in Paris for three years, where she worked and continued her studies.
Jamie Howell
Sales Manager, Noe Valley Office

Jamie Howell brings many years of Real Estate experience Hill & Co. Jamie’s success comes from giving his fullest attention to every client. His dependability has resulted in almost 100 percent of his clients coming from referrals!

Born in upstate New York, Jamie was raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil and in Lubbock, Texas. In addition to raising his four children in Noe Valley, Jamie has coached girls’ soccer teams and has been nominated twice for California State Soccer Coach of the Year. He has been honored as top coach for all sports by the Police Activities League (PAL) and was twice awarded Girls Soccer Coach of the Year for the entire Bay Area. Jamie is also former two time Chairman of the Board of San Francisco Zen Center, Green Gulch Farm, and Tassajara Monastery.

Jamie has been a student of Buddhism for over 20 years. His additional non-profit activities include volunteer work at the SF General Hospital ER and at Maitri Aids Hospice. He also trains for triathlons with the Golden Gate Triathlon Team and the Leukemia Society’s Team in Training.

Maya Brouwer
Office Manager

Maya Brouwer came to Hill & Co. after spending several years in the dot com world, with a desire to be involved with a real and growing business. She found both of these at Hill & Co in 2002 and became the office manager for the 2 sales offices.

She manages all of the daily operations, supervises the administrative team and has built a strong atmosphere of office support for the sales agents, allowing them to best do their jobs with Hill & Co. clients.

Maya first learned about Hill & Co, when she was President of the Marina Merchant Association and volunteered on the first Race for the Cure in San Francisco, where Hill & Co. presented a large Team of walkers and runners.

Born and educated in Holland, Maya lived in Australia and England, and arrived in San Francisco in 1976 where she started San Francisco’s first Antique Collective.

Before going into office management, she returned to an earlier career in healthcare, and was a consultant in medical and dental practices for many doctors in the Bay Area.

In her spare time, you will find her at different music venues around San Francisco.

Jeremy Ferguson
Director of Technology

Seattle born and raised, Jeremy made his way to San Francisco in 1997 to join his friends in the explosion of technology in the San Francisco Bay Area.

As Vice President & CTO for Protected Investors of America, Jeremy was hired to transform the network and enhance the company’s services. Most recently, he served as Director of Infrastructure for an international software company in Silicon Valley, where he managed a large network of six sites with offices located in California, London, Paris and Tel Aviv for several years.

Along with Hill & Co., Jeremy has built an infrastructure that is ever growing, detailed, and state-of-the-art. Translating the technical to the layman along with his exceptional customer service skills, Jeremy brings a sense of confidence and comfort in technology to everyone who works with him.

When he's away from his laptop and BlackBerry, he is spending time with his family in Potrero Hill, tending to his bonsai, or traveling.

Garey De Martini
Director of Marketing

With more than 25 years of experience in all facets of marketing, promotion, branding and public relations, Garey oversees brand development for the company and its agents. He is also instrumental in helping to create state-of-the-art marketing programs to promote the sale of client homes.

His career includes stints as manager in the marketing departments of the San Francisco Chronicle and San Jose Mercury News. He also served as Creative Director at two leading ad agencies in Silicon Valley, and was most recently the Marketing Director of another San Francisco real estate brokerage.

A native of San Francisco, Garey is a graduate of U.C. Berkeley. He met his wife Maria in 2001, and they married in 2003.

Lynne Fox
Marketing Manager

Lynne Fox is a recognized conceptual merchant with a successful career in merchandising a broad range of products and a proven ability to source and develop merchandise with consistent success. She is a creative thinker and an imaginative problem solver. Lynne had been a selling agent for Hill & Co. in the past and rejoined the company in 2004 in her current capacity.

As a volunteer Lynne has contributed significantly to the community at large. In 1977, she was instrumental in the development of the Decorator Showcase and was co-chairwoman of the first San Francisco University High School Event, which benefits the school’s scholarship fund. In 1991, after her diagnosis of breast cancer in 1990, Lynne launched and was chairwoman of the first annual “Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure” for breast cancer research. Lynne is still involved with the Komen Foundation and continues to work on raising awareness and funds to eradicate this disease by advancing research, education, screening and treatment.

Marlena Miller
Marketing Manager

Marlena Miller was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona in a home overlooking the picturesque desert valley. She holds a B.S. in Business / Marketing and has worked in the field of Advertising and Marketing for over 20 years. She relocated to San Francisco in 2003 to marry her high-school sweetheart. She enjoys spending quality time with her husband and sharing this magnificent city with her two incredible children.

Miller recently joined the team of Hill & Co. Real Estate as their Marketing Manager after enjoying 18 successful years of working with an in-house agency for an Anheuser-Busch wholesaler. This allowed her to tailor award-winning national level campaigns for regional placement in a multi-cultural and bilingual marketplace. Marlena managed a team that carefully oversaw the Budweiser, Michelob and Bacardi Silver brands for most of the Arizona marketplace. She helped the distributor achieve a majority or 65% market-share through multi-media advertising that included billboards, print, radio, internet and event promotions. At Hill & Co. she is responsible for overall brand management, advertising campaigns, agent marketing and advancing market share.
